PLAY allows you to control also setups composed by 2 telescopes on a single mount: now you can control 2 optical tubes (OTA1 and OTA2) that have dual focusers, dual rotators, dual flat field generators and dual telescope cover motors! Also the “Connect All” feature allows you to connect to dual telescope setups with just a click of a button. In order to activate this feature, please click the Settings icon, select “Functional” tab and set on the “Dual OTA mode” on “Enabled”.
Now, in the configurator window, you find the OTA selector (OTA1 or OTA2) on the top-left part of PLAY. First select the OTA (1 or 2) you want to configurate, then click on one of the devices in the left column in order to connect. This way you can connect 2 focusers, 2 rotators, 2 flat field generators or 2 telescope cover motors.
Please note that you can’t connect multiple cameras or multiple mounts. You can control with PLAY a single camera and a single mount.
When you click on the large PLAY button in the bottom-right part of PLAY configurator, you access the CAPTURE section and now you can find the OTA selector to the right column. Select first the OTA you want to control, then click on one of the tabs in order to control the related device. For example, if you want to control your ESATTO focuser installed on optical tube 1, you will click first OTA1 and then you will click on FOCUS tab. If you have 2 focusers (one installed on OTA1 and one installed on OTA2) you can quickly switch between focuser by simply selecting, in the same FOCUS tab, OTA2 instead of OTA1.
The dual-telescope mode works also with the CONNECT-ALL feature. If you set connection settings for different optical tubes, when you will press the CONNECT ALL button, PLAY will automatically connect to all your devices of the 2 optical tubes. The same applies when you want to disconnect with the DISCONNECT ALL button.
