EAGLE3 PRO offers the same advanced features of EAGLE3 (remote control, 8 USB ports, 7 power out ports, etc) but with an even faster processor, more RAM memory and a larger SSD disk. Everything to offer a very high computing power making the EAGLE3 PRO perfect also for the most demanding applications.
Not only EAGLE3 offers exclusive features for advanced astrophotography, but also all the power of a real computer (superior to a Mini PC) to allow you to use any astrophotography software. In order to test its performance, we used PCMark benchmark and compared EAGLE3/ EAGLE3 Q/ EAGLE3 S / EAGLE3 PRO with one of the many cheap Mini PCs on the market (where we installed the same EAGLE3 operative system for a precise results comparison). As you can see in the picture below, EAGLE3 offers 32% more performance than a common Mini PC with Intel Celeron N3160 processor, 4GB of RAM and SSD disk; EAGLE3 Q raises at +52%; EAGLE3 S still raises the gap by bringing this difference to 82%; EAGLE3 PRO boosts everything to a wonderful +130%!
The Apollo Lunar Module (LM), originally designated the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM), was the lander portion of the Apollo spacecraft built for the US Apollo program to carry a crew of two from lunar orbit to the surface and back. EAGLE is the name of Apollo 11 lunar module that, on July 20, 1969, landed the first humans on the Moon, Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.

I have had the EAGLE3 PRO for 6 months now and have to say it has made astrophotography really simple. In my own case I have lots of different equipment to test and setup. The first thing to comment on is the ease of use. All the software has loaded on and run with no problem and that can be from simple capture programs to full processing software like Pixinsight. The control system for powering the different equipment is well laid out and easy to run, this allows precise control of power to dew strips and other accessories. Where the EAGLE3 PRO scores high is its ability to connect to cameras for high speed recording like solar and lunar imaging and not just for deepsky capture. With most cameras running a 1 meter USB3 Lead it can be a problem with frames dropping if longer USB leads are used. Wires are always an issue with any setup and its nice to keep most of them around the telescope and not running down the mount as it causes all sorts of problems. I have 2 wires running down the mount now, one to power the EAGLE and a 10 metre HDMI cable to display the EAGLE3 PRO on a larger screen in the warm room and controlled with a cordless mouse and keyboard. All in all a really good product to use and I would recommend to anyone that to make image capture simple.
I recently upgraded my Eagle to the Eagle Pro2.
The new features are excellent. I have now been able to do away with my dew controller as the Eagle now has 3 controllable ports for dew heaters.
I also power my mount, my camera and my filter wheel from my Eagle. In fact I have only one lead coming into my rig now---fantastic!
I run SGPro, PHD2 and plate solving with the Eagle. The wifi works perfectly and I have yet to experience a drop out. The large SSD gives me plenty of storage and there are more than enough USB ports for my needs.
All in all my new Eagle Pro 2 does everything I need and does it well.
The EAGLE2 PRO makes live under the star very easy. It's a solid product that works with all Windows 10 compatible astro hardware.
Cable management becomes very easy because you can keep most of the cables on your tube if you mount the EAGLE2 Pro on your scope. In fact I've only three cables left coming from the scope going over the mount. This reduces the risk of a cable interfering with your mount greatly.
The Remote Desktop Connections work great. I can operate the scope from my office without any problems.
