Radio telescopes installation service is performed directly from PrimaLuceLab worldwide, on the base of a custom quote to be agreed before the supply of the SPIDER radio telescope. After the shipment of the SPIDER radio telescope, PrimaLuceLab technical experts travel to radio telescope installation location and install the radio telescope. The customer must prepare the concrete base (based on the design suggested by PrimaLuceLab and that will be given to the customer in the SPIDER pre-installation user manual) with the channel for the power and data cables already in place. The customer must prepare the earthing system (to which the radio telescope is to be connected) according to the regulations in force in the Country of installation of the radio telescope. Note: concrete base not needed for SPIDER 230C radio telescope.
SPIDER radio telescopes are made of elements to be installed outside (antenna and mount) and others to be installed inside (receiver to connect to the control computers). All elements must be properly powered and must be connected to each other with special data cables provided with the radio telescope. PrimaLuceLab technical experts will also insert the power and data cables in the channel connecting the outside radio telescope to inside receiver and will install RadioUniversePRO control software checking the radio telescope proper functioning. NOTE: maximum length of the cables connecting the outside radio telescope to inside receiver is 100 meters.
