The center has many attractions such as a planetarium, an astronomy and a space exhibition, an astronomical observatory and now a 5 meter diameter radio telescope.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1984\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1984\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1984\" src=\"https:\/\/www.primalucelab.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/SPIDER-500A-Sharjah-2-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1984\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Sharjah Center for Astronomy &amp; Space Sciences<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SPIDER 500A professional radio telescope was shipped by PrimaLuceLab to the installation location, just in front of the Sharjah Center. For the first step, the PrimaLuceLab team installed the large pier on the concrete base that was prepared by the customer based on designs provided by PrimaLuceLab.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1986\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1986\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1986\" src=\"https:\/\/www.primalucelab.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/SPIDER-500A-Sharjah-3-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1986\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Unboxing the large pier and mount head of the SPIDER 500A<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the help of some heavy machinery, the team positioned the large WP-400 mount head (350 kgs in weight) onto the pier. All parts of the radio telescope mount come preinstalled from our factory and all of the mechanical parts have been designed to operate in the difficult desert conditions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1988\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1988\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1988\" src=\"https:\/\/www.primalucelab.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/SPIDER-500A-Sharjah-4-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1988\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">WP-400 weatherproof computerized mount installation<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The installation team then prepared the very large antenna and support system, which is designed to be divided into 12 smaller sections for easier shipping. The PrimaLuceLab team designed this complex rear support system to create a rigid structure keeping the main reflector at the optimal parabolic shape.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1990\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1990\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1990\" src=\"https:\/\/www.primalucelab.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/SPIDER-500A-Sharjah-5-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1990\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Preparation of the 5 meter diameter antenna of SPIDER 500A<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the use of a crane, the antenna has been properly positioned on the mount head (a height of 3 meters above the terrain level).
