ZWO ASI290MM is a USB 3.0 planetary monochrome camera with 2.1 megapixel resolution, very fast and sensitive, capable of recording up to 170 fps at maximum resolution of 1936x1096. The Sony IMX291 back-illuminated sensor provides a higher sensitivity both in visual and in near infrared, letting this camera have a perfect image quality also in low light conditions. Along with this camera is provided a 150° wideangle lens to use it as all-sky camera for sky monitoring.

In addition to video recording, the ASI290MM is able record long exposition images up to 2000 seconds, useful to record images also of deep-sky objects. It can also be used as a guide camera, thanks to the integrated ST4 port.

ASI290MM is a camera with a back-illuminated IMX290 monochrome CMOS sensor ideal for both high resolution planetary imaging and autoguiding thanks to integrated ST4 autoguide port, up to deep-sky imaging thanks to an adjustable shutter speed up to 2000 seconds. It's the ideal camera for those looking for a model with high performance but still an affordable cost.

Back-illuminated Sony IMX290 sensor:

Sony developed a 2.13 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor that offers a higher sensitivity compared to other models. 2.9 microns squared pixels and the new back-illuminated technology make this sensor twice more sensitive in the visible and three times more sensitive in the near infrared wavelengths. Thanks to these features, it is possible to decrease the shutter speed in planetary imaging and thus also reduce the effects of atmospheric turbulence. The high sensitivity allows its use also for deep-sky photography.

ASI290MM for autoguide:

This camera is equipped with a ST4 autoguide port, allowing the user to take advantage of this very sensitive CMOS sensor also as autoguider, also thanks to the possibility to select 2x2 binning. ST4 autoguide cable comes in the box.

ASI290MM for deep-sky imaging:

With this camera you can also experience deep-sky objects imaging. With the ability to extend the shutter speed up to 2000 seconds you have the possibility to record even deep sky objects. High 75% quantum efficiency of 75% and  low electronic noise make this camera very efficient, sensitive and even more versatile.

Great for planets, Moon and Sun imaging:

For Moon, planets and Sun imaging, this camera has all the advanced technical features that allow you to get the greatest quality images. 2.9 microns pixels, together with very low read noise (only 1e @ 30db gain) and high speed USB 3.0 (which allows you to generate video at up to 170 fps at a maximum resolution of 1936x1096), results in very high quality and high resolution images of planets, Moon and Sun. You can also record images in ROI format (Region Of Interest) useful for improving your image quality.
