Offering at the same time a compact pixel size of 3.8 micron and a large 21.9mm sensor diagonal, ASI 1600MC color camera can be used both for deep-sky and planetary imaging since it offers very high resolution and a large field of view at the same time.
For deep-sky astrophotography, this camera is perfect for low to medium focal length telescopes like APO refractors since it comes with small pixel dimensions that allow you to record high resolution images also with low focal lengths. ASI 1600MC has a color sensor then it's less sensible than monochrome version but produces images already in color without the need of RGB filter sets and filter wheels.
