Compact and easy to transport, this mount is perfect for the traveling user.
Built to support medium loads, it allows you to install optical tube with accessories up to 14 kg, the servo motors allow movement up to 4 degrees per second with pinpoint accuracy and stability. The long bar allows to insert up to 2 or 3 counterweights and distribute well the loads for a correct balance of the instruments, the large knob for adjusting the latitude and the front thrust screw guarantee a precise and effective adjustment. The head is designed to accommodate Vixen type plates. The tripod is very strong thanks to steel legs with 50mm diameter, and it makes it very solid and vibration-free.
The Advanced VX uses an innovative protocol for the automatic alignment of the mount and a complete object database. The Nexstar+ hand control unit allows you to choose between three different types of alignment, 2-Star Align, 1-Star Align, Solar System Align. You can also add up to 4 calibration stars after performing the 2-star alignment, it will greatly increasing the accuracy of the mount. Over 200 objects has a detailed information such as location and features, very useful to learn about the observed objects.

In addition to the functions implemented to improve tracking performance, alignment and tracking of the mount, the Nexstar+ protocol will provide more useful tools for those who use this mount for astrophotography. One of these is the meridian extend flip that allows the mount to continue tracking during the photographic expositions without interruption. The ST-4 dedicated port on the mount allows to connect any guiding camera on the market. The All Star allignment provides a polar alignment method extremely easy and accurate, useful especially for those who can not see the Polaris. Furthermore the additional 2 AUX ports allows the connections of accessories such as GPS (optional) and SkyQ Link (optional) to the mount, providing a WiFi connection.

I have this mount and use it for AP, with a substantial load close to or on its stated maximum payload. Performs brilliantly.
