Quick Overview

The Celestron NexImage 5 Solar System camera allows you to capture high-resolution images or videos of planets, the Moon and the Sun with any telescope, thanks to its 5 mega pixels color sensor! Using the included software, you can record fantastic pictures or videos in a simple way.

Point the telescope at the Moon or a planet and record a video. The software included with the camera analyzes each frame of the video and eliminate the less contrasted because of atmospheric turbolence, aligns and averages the remaining, allowing you to highlight the smallest details. The result is a great picture, rich in details!

Details

The Celestron Neximage 5 Solar System is a CMOS sensor color camera dedicated to high resolution imaging of Moon, Sun and Planets, compatible with all telescopes. Its size and weight are very small, together with the very low cost make it ideal for short focal length instruments, and for those who begin to make the first shots of lunar, planetary and solar images. The Neximage 5 Solar System has a resolution of 5MP, this camera provides a dynamic and higher resolution than the previous version, keeping in line with market prices.

The Neximage 5 Solar System comes with a dedicated software to manage the images, also allowing the selection of ROI (Region Of Interest) lets you restrict the desired object framing, reducing the incoming data flow in order to occupy less hard disk space. Able to shoot images up to 52fps based on the resolution selected by the user. Compatible with Windows systems, it's a great camera dedicated for high-resolution images.

The Neximage 5 Solar System camera connects in place of the eyepiece in 31.8mm connection. In order to increase the magnification, we recommend the use of a Barlow lens before the camera. Since the planetary cameras are equipped with a small sensor, in order to point and center more easily the object of interest we recommend using a Flip Mirror in which to insert both the camera and an eyepiece.
