Our UV filter let pass only wavelengths where Venus cloud formations becomes visible, that is the ultraviolet (all other wavelengths are blocked). This allows you to make great pictures even with relatively small telescopes. The filter is transparent only for radiation ranging between 280nm and 380nm. The human eye is not sensitive to this radiation then this filter can only be used photographically with digital cameras sensitive to this wavelength (generally monochromic models).
All our filters are carefully tested to verify the quality of the substrate and antireflection coating: in this way we assure our customers that our filters do not add problems to your pictures and that there are no annoying reflections (effects that may occur in economic models ).
It select the ultraviolet wavelengths blocking all the rest of the spectrum
It lets you capture the details of Venus clouds
Transmittance higher than 80% from 300nm to 350nm
Anti-reflective multi-layer coating to not generate ghost images
Quality substrate not to introduce aberrations in the images
Available in 2 versions: 31.8mm (1.25") and 50.8mm (2") diameter
How to use the filters:
Our filters are always available in 2 diameters: 31.8mm and 50.8mm. These standards are commonly used by telescopes and their accessories. For example, depending on their function, they can be used with a CCD ora A DSLR camera (using appropriate photo adapters), but also screwed to optical accessories such as eyepieces or diagonals. Warning: 31.8mm filters do not work with 50.8mm diameter accessories and vice versa (unless there are special adapters). When you choose the version of your filter, be careful to choose the diameter compatible with your equipment.
